We have great cell phone service in this area for all service providers.

Netspectrum fibre internet service is now available…..extra fee will apply.

Big Moose Camp will allow EV charging.

Charging fees will apply with rate recommendations from Hydro 1 to cover the charging costs. Big Moose Camp does not offer pluggable charge adapters. We only provide outlets. You will need to bring your own portable L2 charger.

Drinking Water

All accommodations have water that is safe to drink. The water is from a drilled well that is tested and treated with chlorine.

Septic System

All accommodations are on a septic system. Please do not leave water running and ensure only toilet paper is flushed. All food and grease must be disposed of in the garbage. And feminine products and wipes (including flushables) must be placed in the waste basket provided.

Big Moose Camp is a pet friendly resort.

Pet fee (per pet/ per cottage) is $15 a day or $60 per week (plus HST).  Pre-approval required.

Your pet is welcome but we ask you to ….

• Keep your pet off the furniture and beds in the cottages
• Keep your pet quiet… others are here for the peace and quiet
• Clean up after your pet… within the cottage and remember there are children playing outside too. Nobody likes to step in poop.
• Keep your pet tied up and under control at all times
• Be respectful of your neighbors.  Some people are not as comfortable with pets around as you are, so please be courteous

Big Moose Laundry Facility will be unavailable for the 2024 season. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Laundromat available year round (2 washers and 2 dryers). Cost is $5 per washer load and $5 per dryer load. The laundromat is only available to guests staying at the resort and not open to the public.

Firewood is available in the spring, summer and fall seasons for guests staying at the resort. The cost is $15.00 (tax included) per bundle. A bundle includes delivery of 22 pieces of wood, paper and kindling. In the winter season, the firepits are not available due to snow cover and underground lines for the cottages.

Campfires must be contained in the fire pit and are permitted between the hours of 6pm and 8am. If there is a fire ban in effect in our area, campfires are no longer permitted during the fire ban period. Fire Rating: Please refer to the East Ferris township for an update on the fire rating in our area including fire bans, if any.

MNR does not allow you to bring your own firewood in order to prevent the spread of invasive insects and diseases to our forests.

Buy it locally. Burn it on site. Never bring it back home.

Fireworks are not permitted at our camp since we do not have a safe location, no exceptions.
